The research concerns analysis, dimensioning, structural design, safety, assessment, repair and strengthening of load-carrying structures in the sphere of civil engineering. Both theoretical and experimental research is performed. The department has modern equipment for static and dynamic testing of materials and structures in the laboratory or in the field. Also the computer equipment is modern and intensively used.
